I’m back in the land of fast internet!!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!
The sun has been shining non stop and we have been swimming at the beach almost everyday, if not twice a day!
So Christmas day means new pretty dresses for myself and my two munchkins!
lets start with my little ones!
I made them both the same dress in different fabrics,
The Anywhere Dress by Go To Patterns.
This pattern was super easy and I will be making more of them!
Pink and green spot one is made from a viscose knit I got from Fabric-a-brac for $3! (still have heaps left too)
Check one is a cotton knit I got on a destash page for about $7 for the meter, (also still have lots of this left!)
Check out that pattern matching!
Now onto my dress! I used a 1970’s Style pattern, well actually two, the skirt from this one wouldn’t fit on my fabric, so I found another pattern with the same style skirt just smaller and then had to cut it on the fold instead of following the grainline markings!
For the fabric i found this gorgeous lightweight cotton from Morlands fabrics for $11.90pm I got 2m for this but really needed more!
I accidentally matched the stripes on the waist seam almost perfectly!
The side seams also ended up matching unintentionally !!!
I love this dress it is so floaty and wonderfully cool on a hot summers day!
I can also wear this with the neackline two ways which is double bonus!
I think this is my most favorite make of 2014! LOVE IT SOME MUCH!
Pretty fitting seeing as it was the last thing I made in 2014!
